On-site amenities include a Gift Shop & Store at the entrance, kayak/canoe rentals, snowshoe rentals, outdoor games such as washer toss and ladder ball as well as many indoor card and board games provided in each Dome.


There is a large 60 foot dock,  fire pit and screened in gazebo all with seating to enjoy the ultimate serene Glamping Experience!

Pomquet Beach Provincial Park & St. George's Bay

Located Only 1 km Away! 
Pomquet Beach Provincial Park is conveniently perched in the middle of St. George’s Bay. This U-shaped outlet from the Gulf of St. Lawrence is sheltered away from cold ocean currents creating some of the warmest waters Nova Scotia has to offer. Its unique coast structure and water temperature is perfect for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, scuba diving as well as all other water sports and activities. This 3 km supervised beach is wheelchair-accessible. A new Mobi-Mat® was installed in 2018 along with the addition of a Mobi-Chair® lightweight floating beach wheelchair. Other park features include boardwalks, interpretive display, change house, flush toilets, walking trails all around and some of the best examples of dune succession

Pomquet Acadian Hiking and Dune Trails

You can access the Pomquet Beach Dune Trails only 1km from your Dome!
Or just before reaching the beach and dune trails, follow the trial to the left located just before the Pomquet Beach Parking Lot and see fantastic views of St. George's Bay, sand dunes and dune succession. On this route you will also see a view of the Domes that can't be seen from anywhere else besides inside the trail :)


Located only 5kms away are the Pomquet Acadian Trails! This 6km coastal and inland multi-use trail system is great for hiking, cross country skiing and snowshoeing.

The trial system includes 3 stacked loops and 1km linear coastal trail overlooking magnificent views of St. George's Bay and Pomquet Beach with Cape Breton and Prince Edward Island in the distance!

Chez Deslauriers
Heritage Home and Venue

5 kms from your Dome is the Chez Deslauriers property.
Located on a coastal rise in Monk's Head with commanding views of St. George's Bay, Pomquet Beach and Cape Breton in the distance. The property includes a heritage home (converted to a tearoom), an interpretive centre, and an outdoor stage.

A 6 km coastal and inland walking trail (Pomquet Acadian Trails) is located directly to the north of the property.The tearoom is host to traditional Acadian lunches Friday's during the summer months (July and August) and Lobster Roll Dinners in August/September. The Interpretive Centre outlines the history of Pomquet from its geological origins, to its ecology and its first inhabitants (the Mi'kmaq), to its settlement by Acadians and its evolution as a community. The outdoor stage, attached to the Interpretive Centre, provides a venue for local entertainment and weddings/celebrations!

Antigonish Farmers Market


Located 20 kms from the domes is our local Farmers Market which hosts 50+ vendors year round!


Support local with a wide variety of items including fresh garden foods, baked goods, lots of handcrafted items, flowers, local honey products, seafood, fruits, body care, maple syrup and so much more!
With something for everyone, this market is a must see and do!

Winter Hours (Jan 11 - April 26) are 10:00am - 1:00pm on Saturdays

Summer Hours (May 3 - Dec 20) are 8:30am - 1:00pm on Saturdays with a Wednesday evening market!

Riverside International Speedway

Established in 1969, this monumental racetrack is a staple in our community and is located only 30kms away from our domes. 

Riverside is host to many raceway events such as the famous IWK Super Race Weekend, which starts off with the Tailgate Party and leading to the IWK 250, what many consider the top stock car race in Canada. 

Other events include Henry’s AutoPro 100 and the East Coast Int’l Pro Stock Tour for the Auto World Sportsman Series, the Cross Roads Legends Tour and the Hot Rod Classics to name a few. With some pretty awesome newly added events to the schedule, the All Star Monster Truck Tour and the Dulux Allstar Street Stock!

Antigonish Golf Club

Located 20 kms from your Dome in Antigonish, the Highland Heart of Nova Scotia.

This private championship golf course hosts 18 holes and offers beautiful scenery throughout, a full service clubhouse and is rich in natural heritage! Home to the Antigonish Highland Games Kilted Golf Tournament

Cape George Lighthouse, Heritage Trails and Heritage School Museum

Enjoy a beautiful drive through Cape George, located only 53 kms away.
This "mini Cabot Trail" is a beautiful coastline adventure! Make a stop at the peak where there is a Lighthouse. From here you can see endless ocean views 300ft above sea level.

At the beginning of the Lighthouse road are the Heritage Trails that offer 37kms of trails with connected loops and linear sections on the Cape George peninsula, overlooking St. George's Bay (the same bay you see from our local Pomquet Beach). Enjoy natural "bubbling springs", waterfalls and amazing coastline.


Learn about the heritage and culture of the area at the Cape George Heritage School. This 1925 one-room schoolhouse now converted to a museum can be accessed directly from the road or through the hiking trails

Keppoch Mountain

The Keppoch Mountain is 35kms away from the Domes and offers a wide range of activities for the outdoor enthusiast. They are also opened 365 days a year!

Snow shoes and cross country skies for rent, multi-use trail systems for mountain biking all year round, cross country and enduro race events, family fun days and 30 trails plus the old ski runs with spectacular views for hiking.

Mother Webbs Steakhouse

Only 11 kms down the road from the Domes is this famous restaurant. Mother Webbs has been serving both locals and tourists for over 60 Years!

Browns Mountain - ATV, Snowmobiling & Hiking Trails

Located 32kms away is a magnificent mountain full of trails in the countryside to

explore and enjoy!

Whether you're hiking, snowmobiling, using your ATV, snowshoeing or mountain biking, this trail system provides amazing views and beautiful woodlands for all to enjoy!


At the top of the mountain you will find "cutie's hollow" at its 264 meter elevation and a spring to quench your thirst. The trail opposite to the spring is James River Falls! This impressive waterfall is a challenging hike but is perfect for the outdoor enthusiast!

The World Famous Cabot Trail

Leave your Dome in the morning and head East on the Trans Canada Highway to the start of Cape Breton Island, approximately 30 minutes away!


Enjoy a day full of amazing scenery and spectacular views! With endless roads to travel on and cute little stores and restaurants along the way.

Leave early to do the whole trail which consists of a 250 km drive to the furthest point of the Island
or do a half day trip and still take in lots of amazing views of the coastline, fantastic shops and food! Just make sure to take your camera :)
